BON Cloud’s China-Europe block train video stories help to connect Central-Southern Europe with China

BEIJING, 16-Sep-2016 — /EPR MEDIA NEWS/ — The biggest story coming out of China today is the launching of the Silk Road on Rails: China-Europe block trains that carry goods across the globe. The proposal to establish China-Europe railroads surprised even the most experienced of rail industry players, yet thousands of trains now traverse these tracks annually.

Telefriuli SpA, the Italian broadcaster, exclusively aired the video series across Italy’s northeastern regions of Friuli Venezia and Eastern Veneto during the first week of September 2016. Telefriuli SpA was set up in 1974 in the North East of Italy. With more than 40 years of history it is also the region’s longest-running broadcast channel.

Today, as certified by Auditel, Telefriuli is by far the most-watched broadcaster in Friuli Venezia Giulia and in Eastern Veneto, and offers its viewers a rich schedule ranging from information to entertainment.

Of the videos. The China-Europe rail route is the longest in the world covering almost 10,000 kilometres in total.

The first block train left Zhengzhou for Hamburg on July 18th, 2013, connecting people along the Silk Road and shortening the distance between continents. The 12-day, six-country journey posed challenges: would European companies welcome the new trade route? Would the cargo be secure? Would the project even be practical?

The trans-Eurasia rail trip began as a once-a-month event but China soon realized it required partners to make it successful. With partners on board, Hamburg became the forerunner. The German port city now serves as both a departure and destination point for the China-Europe block trains.

This project has lowered the cost of transportation significantly and commerce is thriving. There is no doubt about the initiative’s acceptance. The service currently transports goods several times a week from China, the Republic of Korea and Japan, as well as European countries such as Germany, Italy, Poland, France and Spain. With the growing success of the initiative, the development of additional European destinations is in the pipeline.

VIVIER MORTGAGES LIMITED “VML” AND LUIGI WEWEGE MEDIA STATEMENT

DUBLIN, IRELAND, February 24, 2015 — /EPR MEDIA NEWS/ — Over the past few months VML was contacted by Mr Conor Ryan and other reporters working on a programme for RTE, the Irish broadcaster.

It soon became clear that a number of untrue and defamatory allegations – about VML and persons formerly or currently connected with it – would be made in the programme and had already been made to third parties. After VML clearly outlined the correct position to RTE, its lawyers confirmed that the programme and/or its reporting would be “fair and balanced”, “fair, impartial and objective”, “fair to all interests concerned”, “fair and accurate”, “broadcast in good faith” and contain “nothing misleading, unsavoury or malicious” nor any “distortions or untruths”. VML was further assured by RTE’s lawyers that it “adheres to high standards of journalistic ethics” and follows “proper journalistic standards”.

Unfortunately, this did not happen: despite withdrawing many of the untrue and defamatory allegations, when broadcasting its programme on 5th February, RTE retained a number of others.

Accordingly, on 13th February 2015, following the advice of Senior and Junior Counsel, VML issued proceedings against RTE and Mr Ryan. The proceedings are for defamation, procuring a breach of confidence, malicious falsehood and other wrongs, for which aggravated and exemplary damages are sought. It is expected that other parties will issue similar proceedings in the English High Court.

The true position, as previously stated to but ignored by RTE, is as follows:
• In 2004, VML effectively came under the control of the British Government.
• In 2011, VML was sold by the British Government to an English private company.
• In 2014, VML was sold by that English company to its present owner.
• The beneficial owners of VML’s shares and debt are those appearing on the public register.
• VML’s current owner and directors are entirely distinct from the previous owners and directors.

pixelhose.com Announces Second Writing Competition with $1000 in Total Author Prizes

pixelhose.com announced today its second writing competition in two categories: Fiction and Non-Fiction.

The fiction category is intended as primarily a short story contest, although authors are encouraged to also submit one act plays, or other experimental compositions. The non-fiction category includes personal essays, memoires, sociopolitical opinions, and travel stories, not including reviews. All English language submissions, in any genre, are eligible. However, submissions with pornographic theme, hate speech, or those that may be classified as personal or institutional rants will not be considered.

There are three prizes in each category, $300, $150, and $50, for a total of $1000 in author prizes. The contest is fee to enter. Previously published material and simultaneous submissions are permitted.

Asked about the first contest, Bob Dourandish had this to say: “Our first writing competition was successful beyond our own wildest hopes! We received over 1000 entries from 11 countries, many of which were compelling and extremely well-written pieces. ‘The Tree of Life,’ ‘The Descendants’ Reign Supreme with Denver-area Film Critics

The Denver Film Critics Society has given director Terrence Malick’s impressionistic portrait of a ’50s-era family and the origins of life the group’s highest honor.

“The Tree of Life,” starring Brad Pitt, Jessica Chastain and Sean Penn, was chosen by DFCS as the Best Picture of 2011 this week, while “The Descendants” won three awards, including Best Screenplay.

DFCS’s annual awards celebrate the finest achievement in film as chosen by a diverse group of Colo.-based film journalists.

Acting nods went to Pitt for his complicated turn as a baseball executive reinventing the rules of his game in “Moneyball,” and Meryl Streep for her latest astonishing performance as Great Britain’s groundbreaking “Iron Lady.”

Chastain’s busy 2011, including sterling appearances in “Take Shelter,” “The Tree of Life,” “The Help” and “The Debt,” made her the runaway choice for the year’s Breakout Star, while director Gore Verbinski’s neo-western “Rango” moseyed off with the Best Animated Film award.

“The 2011 film lineup may have lacked that awards-sweeping entry, but the breadth of films spoke to the vision of the modern filmmaker,” said DFCS co-director Christian Toto. “Many of the categories were won by a single vote.”

“The Artist,” the magnificent ode to the silent film era, earned a Best Director tie for Michel Hazanavicius as well as Best Score.

The Newsletter On Newsletters Awards Providence Publications Top Journalism Award For Second Consecutive Year

The Newsletter on Newsletters, a national publication founded in 1964, has announced its annual awards for journalistic acumen. Providence Publications, which includes the industry newsletter Workers’ Comp Executive (WCE), came away with 5 of the awards. The most prestigious of awards, the Award for Public Service, was awarded to Workers’ Comp Executive for its three years of extensive coverage regarding the State Compensation Insurance Fund (SCIF); notably in 2008 as the state agency was facing increased scrutiny from the public and legislature. The Newsletter on Newsletter concluded in its most recent edition, “the Award for Public Service goes to Workers’ Comp Executive, for its reporting of the issues and challenges as a bill opening the agency to the public neared legislative enactment in 2008.

In eight articles, beginning last April and running through September, WCE detailed SCIF’s attempts to gut the measure. By quoting industry executives and attorneys, WCE was able to show how those efforts would make the bill pretty meaningless.” Bess Shapiro is the capitol correspondent credited with coverage along with publisher of WCE, Dale Debber. This is the second year in a row Providence Publications has won the Top Journalism Award for Public Service, having saved insurance consumers last year nearly $6 hundred million.

Upon hearing the news, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger stated, “Good Journalism is essential for good government and I’m proud to have these California journalists recognized in the national community. We stand with all Californians in recognizing Providence Publications for its great journalism and many awards this year. Dale, Bess, and Brad are familiar faces around the Capitol and I join the whole Capitol community in recognizing not only the efforts of the whole Providence Publications team, but in thanking them for the kind of accurate and fair reporting they do. I am delighted that they brought so many prestigious awards back to California.”

Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner also comments on the awards. “Workers Comp Executive and its excellent team of writers and editors work tirelessly to pursue the latest developments in the workers’ compensation market,” said California Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner. “Congratulations to Dale Debber, Brad Cain and Bess Shapiro for winning these awards and brining their readers their special brand of determined and detailed reporting.”

The award for Best Deadline Reporting also went to Workers’ Comp Executive for its story “SCIF Hides President’s Performance Bonus”. The Newsletter on Newsletters notes, “With California considering an open public records act, editor, Brad Cain and publisher Dale Debber began asking questions about the employment contract of Janet Frank, President, State Compensation Insurance Fund. State Fund refused to release details but Workers’ Comp Executive obtained them anyway. What made the contract particularly interesting was the fact that Frank was in California only four days a week, returning to her home in Denver, Colo., for the remaining three.” The story made public her pay, bonus arrangements and expenses.

Debber commented on the pattern of journalistic integrity utilized in this and all Providence Publications, “Workers’ Comp Executive is the journal of record for California workers’ comp professionals in all facets of the system. While we reflect the views of our audience, we never function as a mouthpiece and hold these same professionals accountable”.

Additionally Workers’ Comp Executive won the award from The Newsletter on Newsletters for Best Feature Article, “The Journalist in the Jury Pool”, by Capitol Correspondent Bess Shapiro. The Newsletter on Newsletters noted in the upcoming December 21st article that “Bess Shapiro’s adherence to professional journalistic ethics was enough to get her booted off a jury. The reason: She honestly told the court that while the Constitution assures a person has the right to remain silent, exercising that right would lead her to assume that the defendant had something to hide and probably was guilty”.

Another award, this one for Best Government Coverage went to Workers’ Comp Executive for its article “Governor Schwarzenegger Puts SCIF on the Block”. The coverage centered on Schwarzenegger’s plan to shore up $1 billion of the state budget deficit by selling the assets of State Fund, also known as SCIF. Publisher Dale Debber learned of the sale before it would be publicly announced, he pursued the issues and wrote a 2400 word piece that would later win the award.

Workers’ Comp Executive’s final award from The Newsletter on Newsletters was in the “Best Newswriting” category. Brad Cain followed the government meetings of the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California and learned that the bureau was recommending a 27% increase in workers’ compensation rates. The article, “27% Rate Hike Coming”, immediately sounded alarms in the insurance and business community. The Schwarzenegger administration took notice of the article and on the same day wrote a letter to the Insurance Commissioner urging a rejection to the bureau’s recommended increase. The Insurance Commissioner would reject the increase and as noted in The Newsletter on Newsletters, “Workers’ Comp Executive’s early reporting alerted the entire workers’ comp community including the commissioner and the governor that workers’ compensation rates were starting to creep up.”

The BBC’s Missing Live Features Online People Search Company

This week saw the return of Missing Live, the BBC’s daily, early morning program highlighting the plight of missing people in the UK. Getting beautifully cinematic imagery from a digital camcorder is becoming more popular every day. This puts a limitation on one very important factor in creating the “film” look with a digital camcorder: control of focus or the ability to achieve a shallow Depth of Field. Pay attention the next time you go see a movie and you will notice how the camera focuses on a subject. Usually, the subject is in perfect focus while the rest of the scene is out of focus. This is how the director gets us to watch a specific part of the film. This is called a shallow Depth of Field. It is also a very filmic aspect of movies and something that the viewer identifies as a very artistic feel…whether they know what it is or not.

The RNG35 allows you to get this effect with a basic digital camcorder whether it’s an expensive High Definition camcorder or a lower end regular digital camcorder.

Look at some of your footage taken with a digital camcorder and you will notice how flat and in focus everything in the shot is. The RNG35 solves the most common problem that we face in wanting to make our digital footage look like film.

The December release of the new RNG35 has some nice extra touches without the added cost.

Let’s start from the front of the adapter to the back. First, the RNG35 comes standard with a Nikon mount. Nikon lenses are nice because over all these years, their mount has not changed. You can use any, old or new, SLR lens with the RNG35 Adapter.

There is also a new collimation feature. You can easily set the infinity focus to any position on the adapter. This will allow you free control of how close you can get to a subject or simply allow you to fine tune infinity focus.

Then there is the new large 16:9 ratio focusing screen. We made it larger so that the entire 35mm plane could be used.

At the back of the adapter, is a new easy on feature that will allow you to more easily attach the adapter to your camcorder and adjust the adapter to align the screen inside with your LCD.
