New Sci-Fi Thriller-Mystery Novel

New Author Derrick G. Lindsey’s novel Watchers of the Rainbow Covenant confronts paranormal phenomena and science with Biblical scripture. One of the great anomalies of our modern time, is that atheists attack the Bible as being full of “ignorance” and a tool written by ignorant men “to enslave” those who believe. This could not be further from the truth.

Even if you don’t believe in divine inspiration, the writers were the greatest minds of their time. The greatest philosophers, statesmen, planners, organizers, military leaders, and “yes” even scientist of their day. Theirs was cutting edge thinking in a constantly changing world of demagogies, wars, famines, and new scientific discoveries. Much like the world we live in today.

Derrick G. Lindsey explodes onto the literary scene with a compelling, fast paced and suspenseful novel set in a dynamic future. What is truly fascinating is how it confronts cutting edge theories of today on the creation of the universe with the Biblical accounts of creation.

The story is a step by step mystery that evolves, but the science is what is ground breaking. A true fusion of the two trains of thought (Religion and Science) which actually are very complementary to each other.

Paranormal phenomena folklore dating back thousands of years, and presented in theories and in the media today are brought face to face with the ageless text of the Bible.

Watchers of the Rainbow Covenant is a joy ride on a fast plane into a world 200 years from today. One need not be a Biblical scholar or a science fan of the latest theories to enjoy it. One merely has to love science fiction and you will love this novel.

Pinflap Live!

The patrons glanced up at the musician from behind their laptop screens drawn from their cyber worlds by the unique acoustic songs which permeated the Texas coffee shop.

Their glances to the musician, their smiles and loud cheers at the end of each song indicating they were enjoying the performance. Such is the ambience of a coffee shop audience as they work on their laptops while enjoying the live music.

The singer/songwriter that night was Pinflap (Gregory Wooldridge) from Dallas Texas, who’s first CD Pinflap 2 is a current hit with international radio audiences.

By popular request, pinflap will return to Dunn Bros Coffee House, Addison Texas on Saturday night, Feb 26 to share more of his unique acoustic songs.

Wooldridge has been writing music for about 28 years. At the age of 21, he brought a used acoustic guitar and taught himself how to play. Three months later he was in a band and playing bass.

As a former member of several successful bands in the 80s and 90s, including the Cadillac Cowboys, he then went on to carve out a solo career as a singer/songwriter and an acoustic guitarist performing under the name Pinflap.

Pinflap credits Lindsey Buckingham, James Taylor and Ian Anderson, as musicians who inspired his career. One amazing fact about Pinflap is that he never uses a pick, ever! His unique acoustic style sounds simplistic but yet it is complex if not impossible to emulate.

In an industry often permeated with mixers and voice synthesizers it is refreshing to hear the raw talent of a singer/songwriter acoustic guitarist who sounds as good live as he does on his 2010 released album, Pinflap 2. But don’t take my word for it check him out yourself at Dunn Bros Coffee, Addison from 8.30pm on Feb 26.
